Larch
Our larch is responsibly sourced from FSC-certified forests across the UK, with a strong focus on Scottish-grown timber. Choosing homegrown larch helps minimise transport emissions, supporting more sustainable building practices.
As a softwood, larch provides a more budget-friendly alternative to hardwoods such as oak - delivering great durability and performance at a lower cost, without sacrificing quality.

About
Larch is a versatile timber that works particularly well in exterior structures, as its resin content naturally protects the timber from decay. Whilst larch is a softwood, it is renowned for its durability.
Larch is similar in tone and texture to Douglas fir, though slightly lighter in colour. The similarity means these two timbers form a natural partnership for projects where the timber structure is both internal (Douglas fir) and external (larch).
We buy our larch from FSC certified, well-managed forests in the UK, and can often source the timber local to a project. It can be significantly cheaper than some other timbers.
