We love showcasing our work and meeting anyone planning a timber-framed project. Meeting us at any of our events is a great way to discuss your plans, get expert advice, and find inspiration for your project, whether it’s an oak-framed house, glulam extension, Douglas fir cabin, larch annex, or other structural timber outbuildings, while speaking directly with homeowners and the team behind each build.

Homebuilding & Renovating Show - NEC
When: Thursday 19th - Sunday 22nd March 2026

We hope to meet you at the biggest self-build show in the UK! There are hundreds of exhibitors covering all aspects of building and renovating, and you can of course talk to us and get expert advice about your timber framed project – visit us at Stand F163.

Open House event - visit two oak frame homes in Oxfordshire

We're holding open house events at two oak framed homes in Oxfordshire.
Visiting a finished oak-framed home is one of the most valuable steps a self-builder can take — and our open house events at the Oak-Framed H-Shaped House and Shepherds House in Oxfordshire offers a rare opportunity to do just that.
Seeing a completed home in person brings drawings to life and offers practical insight you simply can’t get online. Attending the event allows visitors to understand how oak framing works in reality, how spaces feel, and how design decisions perform day-to-day.
You’ll have a chance to:

CPD Event - Manchester
Timber in Practice: From Traditional Frames to Engineered Solutions
When: 1pm-3:15pm, Wednesday 22nd April 2026
Where: The Coal Store, People’s History Museum, Manchester
We’re hosting a half-day CPD event in Manchester focused on the benefits of building with timber and the key considerations for effective detailing and specification. This session features two in-depth presentations exploring both traditional timber framing methods and advanced engineered timber solutions, supported by practical case studies and technical insight.
Designed for architects and construction professionals, this CPD provides valuable knowledge on how timber can be successfully integrated into modern design, offsite construction, and material specification.

Homebuilding & Renovating Show - Glasgow

We'll be at Scotland's first Homebuilding & Renovating show of 2026, ready to meet you. Carpenter Oak has a dedicated yard in Scotland and has been building bespoke frames across Scotland for over 25 years. Our Design & Project Consultant, Fergus Stuart, will be at the Glasgow show ready to help you with expert advice about your timber framed project – visit him at Stand B117.

Build It Live are hosting their first show in the West Midlands - a great location to get to if you live in central England. The biggest show for self-builders in the South West region is the Build It Live South West show at Exeter's Westpoint Arena, and it's not to be missed!
