Renton Hall, a project which Carpenter Oak's Scottish team helped to build, was a finalist and highly commended in the Listed & Modern Awards in January 2025.

The Listed & Modern Awards recognise extension and renovation projects to listed properties which often use contemporary design to create an exciting new residence.

Renton Hall is a stunning extension which adds a wing to a Georgian manor, creating useful family living spaces. The extension uses a Douglas fir frame, planed all-round, and gives a warm yet modern and sleek finish.

WT Architects designed the extension to be in the local vernacular and has been beautifully finished with larch cladding, frameless glazing, and lime-rendered walls.

This accolade adds to the project's previous award it received in 2023 - winning the Wood Award at the EAA Awards for Architecture.
