On the Aldourie Estate, overlooking the shores of Loch Ness, a series of new barns have been built to serve as part of an award-winning restoration of the Aldourie Estate, undertaken by Ptolomy Dean Architects. While the structures are entirely new, their form and detailing are firmly rooted in Highland tradition. Taking inspiration from the simple, functional barns that have long dotted the Scottish landscape, the project combines historical reference with modern craftsmanship and performance.
