Carpenter Oak has crafted a new timber structure in Wokingham, as part of the Forest of Imagination festival 2025. Set within the beautiful surroundings of the country park, this organic structure, built from sustainably sourced larch, serves as a welcoming hub for gathering, creativity and connection.
It's been great to be a part of this award-winning festival again (having been involved previously in 2016, 2019 and 2022) and this year much of the festival was in Wokingham's Dinton Pastures Country Park.
'The Forest Shelter' was used as an outdoor classroom for schools during the festival, and is there for public use for many years to come. Wokingham Borough Council funded various free installations throughout the Country Park for the public to enjoy as part of the festival.
This has been a great collaborative project with ShedWorks, 5 degree builders, Bath Spa University, Momentum Engineers and Grant Associates. The annual free Forest of Imagination festival aims to inspire curiosity and conversations about the importance of nature.
