Trainee Timber Framer/Carpenter

Every day our carpenters handcraft and build exceptional timber frames. From imposing castle roofs and medieval movie props to impressive lochside lodges and highland homes, it takes a team of brilliant people who take pride in traditional craftsmanship to create each and every one.
We’re going through an exciting time of growth here at Carpenter Oak and we’re looking for trainee carpenters with a passion for working with timber to join and learn from our team in Scotland. Given the right person, we will develop, train and help you build a long term career as a professional traditional timber frame carpenter.
Based at our yard on the shores of the beautiful Loch of Lintrathen just 30 minutes from Dundee, working a 4 day week means that you will have extra time to enjoy the great outdoors and explore the nearby Cairngorms National Park. When at work, you’ll be part of a skilled and talented team of craftsmen and women who like to share skills, experiences and stories over a Thursday night beer!
