Perhaps you’re considering your own self build timber frame adventure, but don’t know where to start? Well of course we’d always invite you to contact us at any stage of your plans, but it’s also great to hear the story from a fellow self builders perspective.

Vickie has almost completed phase one of her self-build Douglas Fir frame home, in the form of a micro cabin! This ingenious design by Roderick James Architects means that the cabin, which Vickie is now living in, will eventually form part of the final house. No need for unsightly leaky caravans – much to the planners approval, who gave a positive thumbs up way ahead of timescales.

Find out more on Vickie’s blog, and if you would like to read more then take a look at our other bloggers experiences.
