When not in the yard, what do you enjoy doing?
Ashtanga yoga, walking my lovely lurcher Dillan (pictured), riding my rather grumpy horse and hanging out with my husband and our four kids.
If stranded on a desert island which three people would you take and why?
Super trendy London vegan chef King Cook so I am well fed. I think also survival expert Ray Mears, he’s interesting, comes across as a real gent and can make sure we are all warm, dry and can find food for King Cook to create amazing things with! Then to top it off I think I would have to take Tim Greaves from our Chippenham yard. A real craftsman! He would be able to build a beautiful shelter from all the creatures that might be interested in eating us, using the resources found by Ray. Oh and also create a table and chairs so we can have dinner together and most importantly… a raft or boat to get us all home! (Also, if I bring him, can he bring his 3 people too? They would be interesting over dinner at the table Tim makes!)
What music do you listen to?
I love everything really. I just need music in my life and have a deep love of vinyl!
What is the best comedy film ever made?
Life of Brian of course!
What do you enjoy most about working at Carpenter Oak?
Mostly the people, but I aIso love the smell of the wood everywhere you go onsite. I love that what we create is sustainable, artisan and different every time. Each piece we create is as individual as the people who crafted it.
Do you have a favourite quote?
‘Whether one is rich or poor, educated or illiterate, religious or nonbelieving, man or woman, black, white, or brown, we are all the same. Physically, emotionally, and mentally, we are all equal.’ – the Dalai Lama
Where is your favourite place in the world?
The beach near my house very early in the morning when the seals pop up to say hi and I can do a little bit of yoga all alone! Awesome!
