Interview with Erin Rogers

When not in the yard, what do you enjoy doing?

I enjoy watching rugby especially Exeter Chiefs and of course England.  I also play rugby (second row) and am in my 3rd season for Totnes Bluebirds.

What is the best project you have worked on and why?

Bedales School Olivier Theatre in Petersfield, Hampshire: great design and a wonderful team.

What is the most embarrassing job you have ever had?

Back in the 90’s I dressed as an inflatable jelly bean to promote a new line of sweets that were introduced to the sweet shop I worked in.

If stranded on a desert island, which three people would you take?

Just one person – a boatbuilder to get me off the island!

What music do you listen to?

Anything and everything – but I do love 80’s

Do you have a favourite quote?

When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on.

Where is your favourite place in the world?

Cala Tarida Beach – west coast Ibiza (so far)

Biography

I was born and raised in Dartmouth and still live there with my husband Mark and daughter Mason.  If I’m not watching or playing rugby at the weekends I love to go camping with my family and friends.  My career has changed over recent years, having spent 10 years as a sales negotiator for an estate agent I thought that was the career for me, then I was made redundant.  Having tried various roles after that, I eventually went to college and studied my AAT and am now hoping to utilise these skills to the max at Carpenter Oak.
