Marian and John Nash had built a house on a plot of farmland, which they used as a menage for horses. Working alongside their architect during the planning stage, they successfully secured approval for a new home on the site. Having admired Carpenter Oak’s work for years through self-build magazines, they reached out for assistance in obtaining planning approval for an oak-frame home. We submitted an amended planning application, adapting the original design to incorporate the oak frame and a distinctive oak-framed corner porch.
