We had a fantastic day spent with young people from the Real Ideas Organisation and Talent Match Cornwall teaching them traditional carpentry techniques.

The young people were given a brief to make a 3 legged Zulu stool using traditional tools such as a shave horse, and to have a go making the oak pegs we use in our timber frames. Guided by the Carpenter Oak folk they got stuck in and all completed their stool, with no loss of fingers!

The day was captured by a film crew from Fotonow and Talent Match Cornwall, alongside an enthusiastic young person from RIO who aided our marketing team in broadcasting the process of the stool making.
