Carpenter Oak are long-standing partners with the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon.

We attend all of their regular shows and have a permanent stand where visitors can see an oak frame up close, all year round.

We have also constructed a detailed structure in the Educational Zone that includes glazing, batons, insulation and other materials which display how a timber frame can be incorporated into a building and meet the highest insulation standards as well as building regs.

Newly completed for 2019, a 60m2, oak framed mezzanine level, designed, hand made and raised by Carpenter Oak, including the oak staircase leading up to the new space above the Professional Services zone.

The NSBRC is a must-visit for anyone seeking advice or inspiration for their self build project.  There are over 250 manufacturers and suppliers showcasing their offering, a technical experts hub where you can talk to someone about any facet of a build process, educational walking tours, a renovation house and professional help with finding a plot or financing your project.

They also run courses throughout the year, offering a wide range of opportunities to gain knowledge and equip you with the skills to ensure that your project runs smoothly.

As well as the shows held at the Centre each year, you can make an appointment to meet us at the Centre all year round.  We are able to meet you at the venue at your convenience to discuss your project and how Carpenter Oak can help you realise your plans.
