Cornwall Yard

Our Cornish yard, near St. Ives was set up in 2014 by Tim Simpson and Tom Jubb, who had been working at the Devon yard for several years.

Both wanted to return to their native county and continue to design and make timber framed buildings across the region – Carpenter Oak Cornwall was born.

With Tom leading design and Tim leading production, their team of carpenters have steadily built a reputation in Cornwall for offering an end-to-end project service.

Most of their work to date have been smaller residential projects, but they have also added numerous commercial projects to their portfolio, including Rick Stein’s Cornish Arms and the gallery at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens.
