We are welcoming architects, engineers and contractors to our Devon yard this September.
During the day you’ll be able to tour the workshops, see our carpenters at work and discover what’s possible with timber framed builds.
We also have an opportunity to take you to a local live Carpenter Oak project under construction.
Our CPD will cover the following:
- A short history of Carpenter Oak
- A brief background of framing, conservation, and traditional skills revival
- Material types and uses
- Shrinkage in green timbers
- Design philosophy and guiding principles
- Joint types – traditional and modern techniques
- Fabrication and assembly
We will also be providing food and a glass of fizz in our Show Barn, with an opportunity for questions and networking.
