We always appreciate the letters and emails from clients after their frame has been raised, and enjoy following the builds until they have finished. This was a particularly lovely ‘thank you’ from a client – the carpenters are beaming!
I am absolutely delighted with my oak frame and I know that I am going to get a great deal of enjoyment from the unique space that will be created once it is all finished. I am looking forward to the arrival of the glazing team when this will be another step closer.
I have to say that it was a real privilege to be able to watch the team (Mick, Matt and Alex – pictured above) at work last week and appreciate the skill and craftsmanship that has gone into the design, making and raising of the frame. Their care, commitment and attention to detail was evident throughout the 3 ½ very long (and very cold) days on site and they were an excellent team to work with. From a customer perspective it is a real bonus that the people who make the frame also install it and I am sure that this must be equally rewarding for your highly skilled carpenters.
When I first decided to create a garden room I visited the Grand Designs exhibition in Birmingham where Carpenter Oak had a stand, and subsequently the Show Barn in Totnes which enabled me to visualise what might be possible. The workshop tour and discussions with yourself other members of your team also gave me a real insight into the personalised approach that your Company offered, however small the project. I had a good “feel” about the Company and I have not been disappointed.
It took me quite a while to “get out of the starting blocks” but since the inception of this project I have been enormously impressed with the quality of the advice and support that I have received from everyone I have dealt with at Carpenter Oak – nothing has been too much trouble and your timely response to all of my queries, however small, has been first class. The design of the frame is great – just as I envisaged and I would be very grateful if you could pass on my thanks to Paul and everyone else who has been involved with this.
The co-ordination of plans for site preparation, delivery and installation of the frame were also seamless with everything arriving on time – crane, frame etc. Tom is now liaising with regards to installation of the fixed glazing.
