For the first time, Carpenter Oak are holding an open house event in Scotland, a stone’s throw from our yard in Angus.
This March, with the kind support from owners, Peter and Sandra, our Scotland open house event will take place at a delightful home that shows the framing focused on the main living areas of the house which really maximises the value of the oak frame.
The frame measures 12.5 x 5.5m (69m2), and forms the vaulted kitchen and lounge in the heart of the house. A fully glazed gable brings in filtered sunshine through the surrounding woodland, and opens up expansive views over the loch in the winter as the trees shed their leaves. Two 8.3m span queen post frames are linked by a central bridge, linking private accommodation and an office on the first floor, and provides a real focal point to the space.
At the open house event, you will meet the owners, the team from Carpenter Oak and be able to see the oak frame up close.
