BiographyI moved to Totnes nearly 30 years ago, drifted into carpentry and then was lucky enough to get work on a timber framed building for Roderick James. This was my first introduction to “proper carpentry” which was the beginning of a long relationship with timber framing and Carpenter Oak’s philosophy.
It then took 5 years before I could join the company when they set up their Devon yard. During the long wait I laboured for a small building company while putting myself through City and Guilds carpentry to master level.
That was 18 years ago and while my chisels are currently resting I am still enjoying my life here as estimator with an excellent company - who care greatly about their product and customer service - with a great bunch of people.
