Two of the UK’s leading timber framing companies reunite after 25 years.
We are pleased to announce the re-union of Carpenter Oak Ltd and Carpenter Oak & Woodland Ltd: two of the UK’s leading designers and makers of high quality bespoke oak frames.
This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter as we can now offer clients our combined experience and a comprehensive range of services:
• Domestic buildings: new builds, extensions, outbuildings.
• Public projects
• Traditional oak framing
• Highly bespoke contemporary structures
• Timber Engineering
• Glazing services
• Conservation work
The two companies share common roots stretching back to 1987 and, although essentially still in the same field, we have been operating independently for several years during which time each company has developed its own strengths. The decision to re-unite, not only gives us a regional presence in Cornwall, Scotland, Devon and Wiltshire, but also means we will now be working closely together to offer clients our combined experience and expertise – the breadth and depth of which is, we believe, unparalleled in the industry.
Our commitment is to maintain the highest quality of materials and craftsmanship and we have always aimed to provide exceptional service, individual solutions tailored to the needs of each client. We aim to make your whole build as smooth as possible, supporting you, guiding you and offering technical support throughout the project.
Operating in a modern building industry means that these support functions are more important than ever. Our design department works closely with your architect and engineer to ensure the detailing is right and our project management team ensures compliance with today’s stringent regulatory framework for the safe, smooth and successful raising of your frame. We also work closely with other suppliers to provide joinery, SIPS panels and building works where appropriate.
What the reunion means to you right now:
The 2 companies will continue running as separate entities but will be collaborating; working together on some projects, sharing resources and benefiting from each others expertise. There will be no significant changes to our clients’ arrangements in the short term: any current projects and contracts will continue as normal and according to the existing terms. All addresses and payment details remain identical.
